General
Q: Do you offer embroidery?                                                          Back to top
A: Embroidery is not yet offered through the web site designer. Please feel free to call us at 1-866-597-6679 if you would like a quote on custom embroidery.  One of our customer service representatives will be happy to assist you.
Q: What are your hours of business?
A: Our business hours are Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 5:30 pm CST.
Q: Do you charge sales tax?
A: Sales tax is only charged on orders shipped to a Missouri address.
Q: Do you guarantee your products?
A: We guarantee that your product will look like what you designed online and will be without material flaw.  However, art on textiles does not look like art on paper or computer monitors and we will not guarantee that colors will be identical to the colors on your monitor.
If you feel that a refund is in order, you will need to contact us within 24 hours of receiving your product.
Refunds will not be made if shipping deadlines are not met.
Q: How is Pricing Determined?                                             Back to top
A: Our pricing is based on the following factors:
     • Shirt style
     • Quantity of shirts ordered
     • Number of colors in design
     • Number of imprint locations
We recommend the following tips to keep costs low:
     • Order short sleeve t-shirts rather than other garments
     • Order larger quantities to receive a quantity discount
     • Choose fewer imprint colors
     • Print on fewer locations
Q: Do you offer quantity price breaks?
A: We offer quantity price breaks at the following quantities:

Q: What happens to my design if I save it?
A: Your saved design can be accessed via Customer Login and may be edited should you choose to do so.  Saving your design does not obligate you to purchase products.
Q: What textile types do you offer?                        Back to top
A: Most of our garments are offered in 100% cotton and 50/50 cotton/polyester blend.  Some garments are not offered in both types of materials.  Garments that are not available in 100% cotton will be substituted with as the highest blend number available.
Digitally printed garments require that we print on 100% cotton or a blend that is close to 100% cotton. Screen printed garments may be either 100% cotton or a 50/50 blend of cotton and polyester.  Garments that are 100% cotton are the preferred choice for embroidery.  We do not recommend embroidering full front or full back designs on jersey cotton garments (t-shirt material) as it causes puckering. For more information on a particular garment, go to the products link on our home page.
Q: What if my shirts do not fit?
A: Once your garment has been decorated it cannot be returned for a refund.  Please be very thorough in choosing your sizes.

Art

Q: Will the printed image be as clear as my photograph or printout?
A: No.  Process printing on garments is of a lower resolution than ink on paper or images on computer monitors.  While we make every effort to ensure that the color and image quality are good, they are not as crisp or detailed as a photograph.  Textiles are generally printed at 55 lpi whereas color pictures can print at upwards of 200 lpi.
Refunds will not be given because an image on a shirt does not equal the print quality of a photo.
Q: My logo looks fuzzy when I upload it.  Will it print this way?
A: No.  We use low resolution images for art proofing.  The image that will actually be used in the printing process will be high resolution; therefore your imprint will be high quality.
If you are uploading your own art, it must be high resolution (300 dpi).  Our art staff is able to recreate art of a lower resolution; however art requiring manipulation will incur a separate art charge.  Our art fee is $25.00 per half hour.
Q: My art skills are lacking.  Do you provide art services?      Back to top
A: A member of our graphic art staff will review all work submitted for online orders.  We reserve the right to refuse uploaded art we feel that it is profane or offensive.  If our graphic artist feels that changes are needed or that art is inappropriate, you will be notified.  If you are having difficulty laying out your design, our graphic art staff will be happy to guide you through the process.
See FAQ “Do you charge for art services?” for more detailed information.
Q: Do you charge for art services?
A: SplashDesigns.com allows you to do your own designing, so there is not a charge for artwork done on the online designer.  Please feel free to call us for assistance with your design at no charge.
If you are uploading your own art, it must be high resolution (300 dpi).  Our art staff is able to recreate art of a lower resolution; however art requiring manipulation will incur a separate art charge.  Our art fee is $25.00 per half hour.
Q: What art file formats do you accept?
A: The preferred format for art files is .eps or .ai.  A high-resolution jpeg (300 dpi) may also be used.

Ordering

Q: What is the minimum number of shirts I can order?        Back to top
A: We have no minimum orders for embroidery or digitally printed garments at SplashDesigns.com.  Because of our state of the art digital garment printer we are able to offer single color and full color prints on as few as one garment, including dark colored garments.  Our minimum order for screen printed garments is 12 pieces.
Q: May I purchase multiple types of items with the same logo?
A: Yes.  For example, both black short sleeve t-shirts and navy sweatshirts could be ordered with a white imprint.  If you would like to order the same imprint in different ink colors, there would be a $10.00 per color charge for ink color changes.  Quantity discounts apply for the total order of garments purchased with the same design. For example, 12 garments of one type and 12 garments of a different type would qualify for pricing for 24 garments.  If your shirts do not have the same images (art and text) then they would need to be ordered separately.
Q: Can I make changes to an order after it has been submitted?
A: Once placed, an order is final and cannot be changed or cancelled.  Our printing is all done in-house and production begins immediately upon placement of orders.   Please make sure that your order is exactly as you wish before ordering.
Q: What forms of payment do you accept?  Back to top
A: All online orders are processed securely using Secure Socket Layer technology.  We accept Visa and Master Card.  Purchase Orders are not currently accepted at SplashDesigns.com
Q: Can I use different designs on the same order?
A: No.  Each design must be on a separate order.  You may use the same design on different products and use different colors of ink within the same order (and receive quantity pricing).
Q: Can I cancel my order once it has been submitted?        Back to top
A: No.  Cancellations are not allowed due to the speed with which production begins.  Once placed, an order is final.

Screen Printing

Q: How many colors can you print?                                        Back to top
A: Screen printed designs are limited to 7 ink colors.  There is no limit to the number of colors in digitally printed garments.
Q: Can you print outside the boundary box?
A: It is currently not possible to print outside of the boundary box.  We constantly strive to improve our website and are working to allow printing in non-standard locations.   Keep checking in!
We are able to print sleeves, but not via the online designer and not currently on orders less than 12 pieces.  Please call us when placing your order to arrange sleeve printing.
Q: What are the print areas and sizes?
A: Adult Full Front &/or Adult Full Back:  Maximum 13 1/2” wide X 15” tall. Ladies and Youth Full Front &/or Full Back:  Maximum 11” wide X 12” tall.  Left or right crest:  maximum 4” wide X 4” tall.  If you have special requirements regarding imprint size, you may leave instructions in the Design Notes section of the Save Design screen.
Q: How are names and numbers printed?                             Back to top
A: Names and numbers on 100% cotton garments are digitally printed.  Names and numbers on all other garments are cut from vinyl and heat pressed onto your garment.
